- The first thing you should do if bitten by an animal is seek immediate medical attention. If you are not treated, an animal bite may cause sickness, serious injury, or death.
- Once you have been treated get as much contact information about the animals' owner such as name, address, phone number, etc. Have a friend or family member assist in this process.
- Take pictures of any wounds and injuries that the animal caused. Document what happened and take the names and contact information from any witnesses.
